You are CHANGING LIVES with the Help&Hope Center when you register for the Turkey ROCK Trot. The Help&Hope Center provides assistance to our neighbors in Douglas and Elbert counties who are in serious economic need, at risk of homelessness, or in a similar crisis.

EVENT SCHEDULE
- 7:30 a.m. – Health and Wellness Expo opens and festivities begin
- 7:30 a.m. – Race Day Registration/Pickup
- 8:30 a.m. – FREE 1k Kids Dash (starts promptly) sponsored by PR Youth Running
- 8:45 a.m. – Wave corrals assemble
- 9:00 a.m. – 5K ROCK Trot Start (waves will start approximately every 2 minutes)
- 9:45 a.m. – Awards Ceremony
- 10:00 a.m. – Gobble n’ Groove Dance Off
- 10:15 a.m. – Costume Contest
- 11:00 a.m. – Wrap up & Expo closes – now go replenish those calories with friends and family. Happy Thanksgiving!

WAVE CORRALS
In an effort to promote safety, the Turkey ROCK Trot will be using an assigned wave system for the start. If you wish to run or walk with others at the event, select the wave of your slowest person for all registrants. Note: You may move to a slower wave than assigned, but you cannot move to a faster wave than assigned. Remember your time does not start until you cross the timing mats.
- Wave #1 – For those of you faster than 8-minute pace per mile. No strollers or dogs.
- Wave #2 – For those between 8-10 minute pace per mile. No strollers or dogs.
- Wave #3 – For those between 10-12 minute pace per mile. No strollers or dogs.
- Wave #4 – For those between 12-14 minute pace per mile. No strollers or dogs.
- Wave #5 – For those slower than 14-minute pace per mile. No strollers or dogs.
- Wave #6 – All leisurely walkers, strollers and well mannered K9 pals. Party in the back!
The number of waves are at the events discretion for safety and enjoyment of all participants and may change as needed.
NOTE: You do not have to register your little ones who are riding in a stroller unless you want them to have a shirt and bib.

- OVERALL: Top 3 overall female and male (excluded from age group awards)
- AGE GROUP: Top 3 female and male in the following age groups:12 & Under, 13 – 19, 20 – 29, 30 – 39, 40 – 49, 50 – 59, 60 – 69, 70 & over
- FASTEST TEAM of 4: The top 4 fastest times are scored; must register as a team of any size.
PARKING MAPS
Parking is FREE but very limited at the DC Event Center parking lot. Get there early and please carpool if possible. We ask that you bring a bag of toiletry items such as toothpaste, soap, deodorant, toilet paper, etc. to stock the Help & Hope Center. Let’s go big on this and bring in several thousand lbs!
