Come out and join Castle Rock’s largest attended race and Thanksgiving morning tradition – the 15th Annual Turkey ROCK Trot 5K Family Fun Run/Walk/Stroll in Castle Rock, CO. Whether you are a serious runner or leisurely walker, bring the whole family and start a new tradition.

You are CHANGING LIVES with the Help&Hope Center when you register for the Turkey ROCK Trot. Whether you are a serious runner or leisurely walker, bring the whole family and join the fun.

EXPO

  • Health Expo with over 30+ vendors (please support our sponsors)
  • 1 free food item: from Flippin’ Flapjacks and other food vendors (TBD)
  • Free face-painting, balloon twisting and bounce house
  • 1 free beer per participant 21 years and older. Additional beer purchases available
  • Mimosas and Bloody Marys available for purchase

EVENT SCHEDULE

  • 7:30 a.m. – Health and Wellness Expo opens and festivities begin
  • 7:30 a.m. – Race Day Registration/Pickup
  • 8:30 a.m. – Kids Dash (about 1/2k; starts promptly)
  • 8:45 a.m. – Wave corrals assemble
  • 9:00 a.m. – 5K ROCK Trot Start (waves will start approximately every 2 minutes)
  • 9:45 a.m. – Awards Ceremony
  • 10:00 a.m. – Costume Contest
  • 11:00 a.m. – Wrap up & Expo closes – now go replenish those calories with friends and family. Happy Thanksgiving!

WAVE CORRALS

In an effort to promote safety, the Turkey ROCK Trot will be using an assigned wave system for the start. If you wish to run or walk with others at the event, select the wave of your slowest person for all registrants. Note: You may move to a slower wave than assigned, but you cannot move to a faster wave than assigned. Remember your time does not start until you cross the timing mats.

    • Wave #1 – For those of you faster than 8-minute pace per mile. No strollers or dogs.
    • Wave #2 – For those between 8-10 minute pace per mile. No strollers or dogs.
    • Wave #3 – For those between 10-12 minute pace per mile. No strollers or dogs.
    • Wave #4 – For those slower than 12-minute pace per mile. No strollers or dogs.
    • Wave #5 – All leisurely walkers, strollers and well mannered K9 pals. Party in the back!

The number of waves are at the events discretion for safety and enjoyment of all participants and may change as needed.

NOTE: You do not have to register your little ones who are riding in a stroller unless you want them to have a shirt and bib.

  • AGE GROUPTop 3 female and male in the following age groups:12 & Under, 13 – 19, 20 – 29, 30 – 39, 40 – 49, 50 – 59, 60 – 69, 70 & over
  • FASTEST TEAM of 4Any size team – the top 4 fastest times are scored; must register as a team.

WEATHER & LIABILITY

Neither snow, nor rain, nor heat will keep us from hosting the Turkey ROCK Trot. Keep in mind the route may not be cleared in the event of concerning Colorado weather conditions. Please plan accordingly. We assume no liability for injuries.

REFUND POLICY

No refunds will be given. If you are unable to attend, your registration constitutes a tax-deductible donation to the Help&Hope Center.
